The Fool's Errand I have a confession to make.
I’m no fool.
Surprised? I am too, sometimes, but I try to hide it behind a smile when I can. I find I tend to hide a lot of things behind a smile. I have a lot of practice smiling when I’m suspicious, angry, or plotting something. Not only does plastering a little smile on my face help calm me down, but it puts out in the open the illusion that I’m fine—or that I’m a fool.

Travel truly broadens the experience - I know you've been looking at buildings and perspective in your career and this surely caught your eye for all it offers. Lovely picture, and at first how did we know it wasn't some wonderous painting you had produced. You have become that good in much of your efforts. It has been a pleasure watching you grow.

This is insane ... so insane. It must have been amazing studying abroad. Not only living amongst history, but walking down old streets and all that while you're going about your daily activities. I'm so jealous! I've been to Germany, but it was only for a week. Actually living and studying abroad must be incredible. (It can't hurt ones muse either!)

In regards to the picture: it's very beautiful. I love the old sign hanging off of the building on the left and how the winding street twists under the towering buildings. The contrast between the subject and the surroundings is not only a nice touch (good colours too), but also seems to symbolize the true distance between a person from our time and a place from the past? Very cool. Great job.

:'D I would recommend the experience to anyone thinking about it. If your school has a study abroad program-- TAKE IT! I loved my time in France and wish I could do it all again despite the limiting weather.
